What was your first job?

A waitress at my local pub on the river

What was your best job?

A hostess at my local Cinema when I was a teen. At that time, there wasn’t much that could beat free movies and popcorn!

In addition to being paid, how else has your career created value in your life?

Knowing I am contributing to a high functioning team within well-established companies and making a difference in customers lives means everything to me.

What would your ideal job be?

Probably something that involves looking after puppies!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’ve been really enjoying exploring Australia since I moved here, keeping active, still love going to the cinema and enjoying a red wine with friends.

What do you love most about working in Customer Service?

Definitely the people! I just love interacting with customers, knowing I can provide a positive impact on their day and improve their feelings about a brand.

What does Customer-Centricity mean to you?

Having a positive impact

Can you tell me about a time when you delivered an outstanding customer service experience that they weren’t expecting?

When I worked at a Medical Insurance Company, I spoke with many customers who were unwell and suffering which was difficult for me. One time, I had a long call with an extremely sick patient and was able to inform them that we’d be covering their treatment. It was an emotional call and they wrote me some really lovely feedback after. It all became worth it then.

Have you faced challenges trying to find employment?

I’m specific and selective about the kind of roles I want to do for my own career progression, so it took me a while to find a job when I moved here. I was about to give up on finding a job in Melbourne until I found Weploy, who helped me find a role at a great company. Now, I’m proud to say I am in a role that I will continue with in the future.

What was the process like for you?

It’s been really easy and reassuring. Everyone I’ve spoken to has been really friendly and helpful. Being part of the Weploy community has really changed my outlook and enabled me to find rewarding work here in Australia. Now, I don’t want to go back home!
