Hello there, my name is Damian Gibson and am one of the new Talent Associates and very excited to be on board here at Weploy HQ. I have been studying the Batchelor of Communication full time for the last year and a half, so am keen to get back into the swing of a role as interesting and varied as the Associate role and learn as much as I can about Weploy!

About Me

  1. Which activities make you lose track of time?
Writing. I love to write and could write for days without even realising I haven’t eaten or slept. (Not really, but you get the idea. I love writing).
  2. What is your personal win for this month?
My personal win for the month is getting this sweet gig with Weploy of course.
  3. A quote/book/advice that changed your life.
On the Road by Jack Kerouac completely changed how I thought about what life and success looked like when I first read it when I was sixteen. It pointed out to me that success is a personal goal, not a societal one. Something that I have fiercely tried to adhere to in my professional and personal life.

My Career Journey

  1. How did you come to work in Customer Service?

I was in Sales. Which I did not enjoy. So in a previous role, I jumped to CS and never looked back.
  2. What has attracted you the most to the Customer Service industry?

It's an industry where you get to help people and get paid for it. That's a win/win in my book.
  3. What motivates you to work?

Having a positive impact on people's lives and society on a broader level.

My Experience with Weploy

  1. How did you find out about Weploy?

I actually was applying for a role with Medibank and Tess suggested I come work for Weploy. So I did!
  2. What does Weploy do differently to agencies you’ve worked with before?

Weploy cares. Cares about great outcomes for Weployers and Weployees, but also cares about HOW we get to those outcomes and that separates us from our competitors.
If you had to describe your experience with Weploy in 3 words — what would they be?

"Young, Innovative and Driven."

Just For Fun

  1. What superhero/villain would make the best therapist?

Sue Storm - The Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four. You would still have the advantage of a therapist but none of the anxiety of seeing the therapist as you worked through your issues.
  2. What superpower would you want to have?

I love The Flash so I’ll say Speedster.
  3. If you could take just one thing with you to a deserted island, what would you choose?

    A boat 🛶
